It is run by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and brings together participants from the English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese language programmes.<\/p><p>Fellows learn how the United Nations human rights system works, with particular attention to the standards and mechanisms relevant to Indigenous Peoples. They train alongside Indigenous representatives from different regions and build practical knowledge they can use in advocacy, community work, and engagement with international human rights institutions.<\/p><p>The programme is intended for Indigenous community representatives, advocates, and rights defenders who are supported by an Indigenous organization or community.
