Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships and Leadership Programme

Programme details

The Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships and Leadership Programme supports outstanding graduates and professionals from eligible countries to undertake selected full-time postgraduate courses at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom. Delivered by the Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Trust in partnership with Oxford, it combines academic study with practical preparation for leadership and public service.

Alongside their studies, scholars explore questions of justice, democracy and responsibility in seminars on moral and political philosophy. In the Enterprise Challenge, small teams develop ideas for social enterprises that address pressing community needs, refine their proposals through workshops and mentoring, and pitch them to business leaders and potential investors. Communication training helps scholars strengthen their negotiating, writing and public communication skills.

Scholars join an international cohort whose interests span public policy, business, technology, health, education and environmental challenges. Working with peers from different regions encourages them to test assumptions, exchange approaches to difficult problems and develop lasting professional relationships. The programme aims to help them apply what they learn at Oxford to improve public life in their home countries or regions.
