The project I’ve been waiting for someone else to make.
I wanted to create for others what I had always hoped someone would create for me.
Every time I visited an opportunity discovery website, I found myself lost in advertisements, endless blocks of text, and filters that never quite understood what I was looking for.
I wasted hours searching. Sometimes, I even invested time and energy in an application, only to discover much later that the opportunity wasn’t genuine, or that I wasn’t eligible in the first place.
I kept wondering: why couldn’t there be a place that simply understood what I needed?
A place that brings together genuine opportunities, makes complicated information easy to understand, and helps people quickly figure out whether an opportunity is right for them. Somewhere you could enter your eligibility details, filter out what doesn’t apply to you, and focus on what actually matters.
That is why I started Fello.
Right now, Fello is still an early demo. I’m improving what already exists and working on more features behind the scenes.
I want Fello to become a place where people can connect with alumni and fellows, learn from others’ success stories, stay informed about global challenges and the ideas addressing them, and find a community of like-minded people willing to share their experiences.
I don’t know how far I’ll manage to take this project, but I want to give it a proper shot. Because I know what it’s like to spend hours looking for that one opportunity that could change something in your life.
And if Fello can make that search a little easier for someone, that’s already a pretty good reason to build it.
